PLANNING A NEW ONLINE STORE BUILD

Many aspects of planning a new Online Store build are the same as a Website Build.
For this reason, we suggest that you take a look at our New Website Build Guide.

New Website Build Guide
The information required to be able to physically sell your products differs a little from a standard website. The following is a guide to the basic information that everyone will need to have ready for a basic store build. Your store may include additional features that require additional information.

STORE INFORMATION

CONTACT DETAILS

You will need to provide your name. This is separate to your business name. If you are a sole trader or partnership the name/s of people behind the business will be needed. If you are a company, the company name can be used. You will also need to include your phone number, a postal address, your ABN and business name.

EMAIL ADDRESS

Professionalism is key. You really should be using an email attached to your domain name to give customers confidence in your business. Addresses such as orders@yourdomain.com.au should be used.

GST STATUS

Are you registered for GST? This will inform the way we set up your tax information. You will need to decide whether you be entering store prices inclusive or exclusive of GST and if you want the tax displayed in the store.

PRODUCT INFORMATION

PRODUCT DETAILS

The more information that you can provide to customers the more confidence they will have in the purchase of your product. Your product information can allow your product to stand out in the crowd and make it easier for you to process orders after they have been purchased. For more detailed information on the details associated with your product uploads, please take a look at our Arpastart eCommerce User Guide, the Product pages take you through the required and recommended data step-by-step.

PRODUCT IMAGES

Consistent, high quality images are vital to a successful store. Put thought into your images from the beginning and give them the weighting they deserve. You want to make sure that you can get hold of good quality, high resolution images that show your product to full advantage. If you can’t get them from the manufacturer, or you are the manufacturer, you will need to consider hiring a product photographer to make sure that you are showing your product in their best possible light.
